You have a very nice car, but your asking price is quite strong. The NADA guide is notorious for being way above any of the other collector car price guides and for probably leading to a lot of disappointment for those sellers who base their asking price on what it says.

Collector Car Market Review pegs the value of this car at no more than about $20,000, and that would be for a perfect condition car. Given the "small projects" that you say it needs and that you describe the body only as "good," the value is probably somewhere in the mid-to-high teens

The Old Cars Price Guide lists very similar values.

We all hope, of course, that you can really sell your car for what you're asking as it just makes all of our Oldsmobiles that much more valuable. But I think you'll have a tough row to hoe to get there.

By the way, what do you mean by this:

This vehicle was top of the line at the time purchased.
The top of the line Olds was the 98, and below that was the Super 88 in the Olds hierarchy that year. Then came Dynamic 88. Mixed in there were the Starfire and the Jetstar I, both having base prices higher than the Dynamic.

The initial reply to this post echoes my thoughts when reading the post. If this car commands $27K I would like to know, as that would indicate to me that my 62 Dynamic 88 convertible, in excellent condition with only 35,000 actual miles is worth $35K or more!

Put it up for sale at that price and see what happens!
