1967 Toronado in Oregon $1500 Runs and Drives November 30, 2012

My buddy sold/traded this car to a friend for some cash and parts. Now the friend wants to sell the car. Since he got it he's repaired a front caliper that was hanging up, and he's driving it. There is a crack in the passengerside exhaust manifold, and bumps under the vinyl top. But I couldn't find any cancer type rust in the body and the interior is really clean... check out the pictures! The car is located near Medford Oregon which is along Interstate 5 maybe 35 miles from the California border. Way too nice to part out... anybody want a project car they can drive while they restore? Contact me and I'll get you in touch with the seller.

John

Hey all
A friend of mine picked up a project car a few months ago, but things changed and now he's wanting to sell it. I've crawled over it and found it to be an unusual car. It does not have some of the common options but does have a couple unusual ones. The car is straight, there are spots of primer but I suspect they're on spots of thin paint. I'm not seeing evidence of body work. Interior is very nice for a car of this age. Odometer reads 56,xxx miles and the interior looks like it could be original. But the engine compartment doesn't look super clean which makes me question that. Originally green paint with black interior, black vinyl top (yes there are bumps under the vinyl). Now faded red exterior with spots of primer. It has the lower stainless trim but no evidence of rust in the body that I can see. The inside lip of the deck lid is nicer than others I've seen. Back to the options, it does not have AC or tilt/tele, or power windows/locks. It has a bench seat but its not the stratobench. Seat belts are the high end carriage clasps. Power antenna but only AM radio. I'm used to seeing a door handle so the doors can be popped from the back seat, but not on this car. It does have the four piston caliper front disc brakes, which I've not seen on a 1967 Toro before. It also has the front cornering lights. I took lots of pictures and can get more if there's anything specific someone wants to see. I'm posting a few but the rest of the photos are at: http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...67%20Toronado/

Also, it does have a nice dual snorkel air cleaner, he took it off so I could check out the carb number and we didn't get it in any of the photos.

OK, I was afraid I'd make the post too large and it wouldn't accept the post. I see in the photos two switches above the gas pedal and below the radio... I don't know what those are for!

The car has been off the road for a few years. There's an issue with the right front brake caliper and the pass side exhaust manifold is cracked. All the glass is good and it's tinted green. Since I'm here I'll add a few more pictures.

Those Eldo caps actually look like they belong on there.

My friend took $1,000 cash plus a project car. So as a reference he probably got $1500ish in value for this car, August 2012

Everything works on this car, including the vacuum headlights. A person could use it as a daily driver if they wanted to.

If you decide to part it out, I would like to buy the drivers door inside panel (if not cracked) and the headlight vacuum controller for my 1967 toro project.

Thanks,

Tom

Man, I like those seats.....how much?
Seats, headlight actuators, maybe steering column, radio?
You will make more than $1500 selling the parts. If I could get the car to NC, would take it. Just too far.
