1969 cutlass convertible going to auction in MI

in my search I stumbled upon this.... NOT MINE AND NO AFFILIATION.

I am curious if anyone can verify any of these claims

As far as I know...

there is no "marti" type report except for cars sold in Canada, Big Cam and a 2 barrel?? I am not going to rehash this but mine came with the right size cam LOL... and a 4 speed with a two barrel, and i do not believe it is that rare.. it is a gorgeous car though, and IMHO is well worth the starting bid....

that's why I was asking about his 1-67 claim, and factory rear spoiler

I would go forward assuming that there is an issue with the odometer. Base don the odo showing 7,181 I don't see how they can equate that to 50K orig miles with any certainty. As far as being 1 of 67 built with those options, we know the spoiler is added so that is out of the equation. With Center Console, Bucket Seats, Dual Exhaust, Power Steering, Power Brakes, I would imagine that not many three speed manuals got buckets & console but that would be more an oddity rather than something that would increase the value any more so than buckets & console would add value to any car.

if you plan on bidding sight unseen account for the fact the car might not be at all what it is respresented to be once it gets to you. The guy says it has to be picked up within seven days so make sure you have your ducks in order to have it shipped. It looks to be a nice car.

Others can opine that are more learned than me - is that the correct style PS pump for a '69? It makes no claim of being matching #'s but that could be a sign it's had an engine swap. If the pump is off an older engine, it might not even be a 350. It could be a 330.

Since they say the car is available for inspection I would have somebody check it out. It would be money well spent.

we know that is not true. As an auction company, you have to assume that they will be just as misinformed as your average CList seller.

Actually, the ad does say #s match.
Man, only 2.5 hours from me...

Looks mighty clean.
Wonder what it will go for?

Is that a stock center console?
I'm not familiar with it.
Looks sharp, but doesn't seem to have an armrest.

That's the correct console. If it hasn't been drilled for the 4 speed emblem it's a really rare top plate.

The only thing I see is the power steering pump looks like an older vintage and mounted high rather than low but I don't know 69's as well as 68's

Was at an auction this weekend, and was SHOCKED at how cheaply some pretty nice-looking vehicles went, including a very nice 71 sx for $18.25k. Wonder if someone is going to get to steal this baby!

Anyone have a chance to check it out?

They have a 71 vert and (I think) a 72 coupe going under the hammer as well. I really wonder what they will go for, and wish I were in a position to play.

The 71 vert went for $11,525, and the 72 coupe for $9,175.

The one that caught my eye was the 65 vette that sold for $31,575. If that car is anywhere near what it looks to be, someone got quite the deal.
