66 Toronado for sale
66 Toronado seeks new home! After 11 years in a Los Angeles garage, it's time for someone to take on the restoration.
It's very complete, and in very good though unrestored condition. It hasn't been started in about six years.
Rare lo-option car: no AC, manual windows, split bench seat, head rests.
Tired bronze paint job over gold. Black interior. Body is in really good shape, interior is all original and in decent condition too.
I've collected some spare parts too!

1966 Toronado description:
BODY: The car has a tired bronze paint job over the original gold. All chrome is in good, but not mint condition. The body is in good shape. Exterior rear view mirrors: the pot metal post that attaches them to their mounts are broken, but the glass and chrome is fine.
RUST: Two spots, in the lower rear quarter panels, near the back bumpers. Caused by leaky cloth hoses that carry water away from the vents below the rear window. That's why I've kept it garaged since I bought it.
INTERIOR: Manual windows, no A/C. All original black vinyl interior with split bench seat and optional headrests. Headliner is original, and in good shape except that it is suffering from some seam rot in a couple of strips. Everything works fairly well. Needs TLC like bulbs in some gauges, cleaning electrical contacts and heater ducts etc.
MECHANICAL: Headlights work, although one of them is lazy, so there is a leak or loose connection in the system. Transmission is in good shape. It's equipped for air-adjustable shocks, and it has a trailer hitch. (The rear bumper is bent a bit at the bottom, no doubt from the hitch catching on driveway or curb.)
The major problems: a noisy lifter on one of the heads. It has an oil leak from the front seal. It doesn't burn oil or smoke.
NEW PARTS: Complete brake job w/master cylinder and wheel cylinders, battery, rebuilt carburetor. 76 Toronado distributor with electronic ignition, free flow air filter. (original air filter won't fit with the larger distributor - see extra parts.)
EXTRA PARTS: Freshly rebuilt original distributor; original air-filter housing; windshield wiper assembly and motor; two steering columns with shifters and turn indicator switches
