1972 Cutlass "Goober" 442 Clone Texas

I am getting my wife back into a Vette for Christmas, and the Goober, as she is affectionately known, need to go to make room, physically and finacially. The car, otherwise WOULD NOT be for sale. It is reiable, fun, roudy and all around a good performing machine. The engine was speced out by Mondello and was built around his reccomendations. I have no proof, reciepts or otherwise. Just the good word of the last owner.

Short list:

'69 350 block
Edelbrock heads/ported
Edelbrock intake/matched
Custom cam of unknown duration
Coated headers
Pypes 3" with X-over
130 amp alt
Billet acc. drive
Custom Stereo (louder than the motor if you want it to be) ipod connect.
Eletric Fans/Fuel pump
New Battery
700r Trans
3.73 12bolt posi

I will get more interior and under the hood photos. The car is in VERY good condition, but shows better in pictures than up and at hands length distance. It's not perfect, but has ZERO mechanical issues. There is bubbling on the front lower passenger quarter. It's small, not agressive and not a huge issue. The rear package area, floors and rear quarters are in amazing condition. HVAC is non functional. Again, this is NOT a perfect car. It has rock chips, a couple dings, minor flaws, but nothing glaring or distracting.

We drive it often and with out regard to distance. Take it across country, it will make it fine. We drove it in blistering heat this summer and 210 was the max temp I saw (it was 115 that day) at 80mph. Runs a paltry 190 in any other weather. Check out the dead bugs on the car in the photo...it's truly a driver.

I'd like to get $9700 out of the car. I've looked at others, and for a resto mod/touring muscle car I think the price is right.

Frankly, so much has been redone on the car I would go cross eyed listing it. Just know this, the mechanical bits, the driveline, the brakes, suspension, all of it is new or recently replaced with very few hours of use. There is not an original crusty part left on the car.

I will GLADLY email video of the car: in, out, underneath, driving, commuting, idling, however, when ever. I have ZERO to hide.

This was a low option Cutlass before all the work was started, nothing specail or fancy. Don't bother pricing me in at a #3 '72 350 car with drum brakes. I will not listen.

I will NOT ship.

Stainless Steel Brake front disc kit. Nothing fancy. All OE replaceable parts.

The rear is Eibach Proline springs (lot of drop). The front are sized (trimmed...slowly...in small increments to get it right) OE Moog springs for the car. Stance makes or breaks a car and I took my time getting it right. KYB's all the way around. Ploy bushings throughout. Stock sway bar. IMHO I could use a rear bar to tighten it up and controll the oversteer...no one else would care or notice. The car sits level...I forget the measurment from the bottom wheel lip to the fender gap on each end, but the rocker hight was a .5 rake installed and settled to dead even. The front can't rake any lower or the headers will not make it out of my driveway. Someone else COULD tuck the front more, but speed bumps would NOT be an opion. It clears them now...by a hair. It's ride is firm, but smooth and never oscilates and bottoms out.

Are those by chance Heddman headers? That is the same low hanging problem I have. The look and scraping just doesn't do it for me. I am changing mine this winter to???

Cutlass Wheels

If your buyer prefers the Olds Cutlass wheels, I still have the 4 SSIII wheels with the matching paint that were on this car a year or two ago. One is slightly bent though.
