That thing would be a ton of fun with a 4.8l LS and be smog legal out here.

Too bad I couldn't afford it.

Where is St. Charles? Isn't that 305 was a chevy engine? I didn't think there was room for one in that car.

That one looks a little too rough for me. They had a big problem with rusting out in the suspension and I'm a little leary of one that's been sitting outside like that for 17 years. And good luck finding door skins.

They came with the Pontiac Tech 4 (Iron Duke), the Buick V-6 (231), or the Chevy 305 (I understand changing the two spark plugs by the fire wall is a real treat!).

My '79 had the Iron Duke, it was a great engine. Paired with the 4-speed manual trans I could get 37 mpg on the freeway.

St. Charles is just west of Chicago.

I wouldn't call 30 miles just West of Chicago - and it's midway between 2 tollways!
No real easy way to get there. PIA!
