1969 Cutlass S Sport Coupe Body California car
I have a 69 Cutlass S Sport Coupe body for sale. This car has been in California it's whole life until a few months ago. The car has a 454 Chevy and Turbo 400 that is coming out. The body is straight, rust-free and tight as most post cars are. It was originally a V8 auto,AC car with bucket seats and console. The car is complete except for the AC box under the hood , the original steering wheel, radio and a few other misc. parts. It would be an excellent project for someone with a rusty car or a 4dr V8 donor car. Detailed photos can be emailed if anyone is interested. The cowl plate reads as follows.

I bought a 70 2dr today for parts to go with the 69 body. It has the AC box inside and out, AT, drive shaft and a 350 that is partially disassembled. I'm in Upstate SC and the price is $3500. It may seem high but if you price body panels and body shop time and materials you would come out on this car since it needs no body panels replaced. It looks like it has been repainted once and the clearcoat is coming off. I'll get some photos and more details ASAP. Thanks

That is a pretty straight looking car taz, but where in the world did you get those mirrors? Off of a Datsun Z car?
That chevy hood looks pretty weird on a Cutlass too. I think you are right on about the body panels though. Good luck.

I don't know about the mirrors but I think the guy who put this car together just wanted a body to put his 454 Chevy in to go straight and it does that very well. I have another hood for it. Also the bumpers and all the trim on this car are in excellent condition.

69 Cutlass/5.7 LT1
I have found a 94 Roadmaster with a 5.7 LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission that would be a good drivetrain for the 69 Cutlass. My son has put a couple of these drivetrains in first generation Camaros and it makes a fast dependable ride that gets 20+ mpg. It is an easy swap on the GM midsize. The Roadmaster is $600 for the whole running car. Both cars are in Upstate SC. I would do the swap but I have too many irons in the fire as it is.

Yes, the car is still available along with a 70 Cutlass 2dr hardtop body for the AC parts, AT, hood and a partially disassembled Rocket 350.
