1972 Olds 442

1972 Olds 442 Custlass - plenty of power and drives very well. Just took a 400+ mile run and not a problem at all, solid and runs like a Champ. Car is in Great shape, interior is nice and Paint is good. Not show quality, but great cruise and driver! Factory Silver/Green with matching wheels. Engine and all are matching numbers.

Interior is beautiful with New Headliner and Carpet

I would suggest buying correct 442 grills for this car so it will at least look correct.

Thanks for the post, I actually like the drill on it and its the way I bought it..... I don't think its a big deal if someone wants to swap grills is it?

The important thing is the car runs, drives and sound great....... not the grill, but thanks for the help.

Your right about the important thing being running and driving. 1972 is a tricky year for the 442 because the vin number doesnt reveal that its an authentic 442 for that year. Because of this many people look at any slight difference in appearance as a sign that the car is not an authentic 442. Everything appears to be correct on your car except for the grill and the headlight trim.

The car looks very nice and worth the money but people that are gonna shell out 18K for an authentic 442 typically want those things correct. Those who dont care(such as myself) would buy a cutlass supreme for half the price.

regardless, I think your car is gorgeous. The grill wouldnt stop me from buying it. Good luck with your sale.
