Well..., the seller isn't pretending it's original, in fact he tells us at length how many modifications it has. The term over here is "restification".
Seems to me it has been sympathetically worked over by someone who knew what they were doing, I make no pretence of being an expert but the exterior looks right to me.
I think he (or she) has made a good job of updating the car while keeping the original looks, not for purists of course but I think "Frankenstein" is a bit strong, maybe "Bette Midler" would be more appropriate.
If the car started as a basket case then I say "good job", if it was in good original shape my applause is more muted.
Maybe we should have a poll; Hidden updating modifications or keep it original?.
Roger.

I just hope it can be put back and not all hacked up. Don't know what his reserve is but it is too much I'm sure.

I hate to say it, but aside from the dash, it looks like a nice car.

I wouldn't make all of those changes myself, but I think that what he did would make it more fun to drive, and was reasonably tasteful.

Beats some of the cars people post here for our amusement and derision.

I think aside from the originality issue, its tastefully done and would make someone a great driver!!

I agree with rustyroger, my opinion depends on the starting point. Keeps something that looks like an Olds on the road if it was headed to the crusher otherwise.

I bet the original 400 made more power, maybe even the 330. Me i dont like it at all. The car looks nice on the outside, but i dont like any of his mods, other then the wheels

That is a nice car! The dash cluster looks a little hokey, but the rest looks good.

I really like the T56 (me being partial as I have owned a 93 Z28 with the six speed) they are a great trans and easy to power shift I would personally love to own this car I mean how often do you get over 300 horse and over 20 mpg

I would not build it that way but if it was given to me I would not hesitate to drive the wheels off of it with a smile on my face.

IMO the engine has got to go!!

If he was going to change up the dash, why not do one of those ditigal kits. Or do all autometer type gauges.

Except for the engine and the ditigal speedo only, it's not bad
