1970 Olds 442 Factory burgandy mist 4 speed project for sale

I do not want to sell this car but I am currently in a pickle so putting it up for sale. It is a 1970 Olds 442 real deal 344 car. it is a factory 4 speed car. It has had a busy life no doubt. When i bought it a few years back from 2blu442 here in Oregon it was after a long search for the right car to do for me. it is a factory original 442. Freemont built car. vin 344870Z101149. it has had a crappy paint job done some time back that looks like hell to say the least. The blue paint and some kind of Starsky and Hutch kind of strip are peeling off and revealing the original burgandy mist paint and white stripes underneath. The car is pretty straight and has most of the original Ivory bucket seat interior in it. The car does need to be totally restored. It currently has a 69 455 with C heads, in it that does not run and I am not going to even try to get it running. The intake manifold is missing and it has sat for a very long time. It does have a clean Oregon title and the plates on the car expired back in 88 so it has been off the road for at least 29 years. The license plate frame on the back shows a dealership in Aberdeen Washington. This is in my best guess where it was sold new. So it has been a Northwest car for it's life to now. I purchased it from John in Medford Oregon a few years ago. The options it has are: power steering, power disc brakes, 4 speed, am radio, bucket seats, console, 4 speed, roof drip moldings, and originally had a vinyl top. that has been removed prior to the last paint job. The wheel well moldings are nice on the car. It has soft ray tinted glass and all but the windshield is good. paint code is 78 for burgundy mist, interior is ivory white code 937 for bucket seats, the car was built the first week of September 1969 so a very early car. The transmission in the car currently is a th350 with a 73 up style shifter but the original 4 speed tunnel is still in place. I have a M20 muncie 4 speed that will be included with the car as well as some other parts I have gathered. some trim and some pedal parts and such. It needs very little work in the area of rust. The front floors need patch panels but it does not need full floors. It has a small hole on the left lower quarter (about the size of a quarter) the left fender is good and solid, the right quarter is good and solid. the right front fender has a small rust area in the heal like most have. But it is limited to there only. The core support seems very nice, the hood is also very solid. The fenders are correct flat flange 70 fenders and based on the paint peeling and the original showing through I suspect the original fenders. The bumpers are fair and correct, I have a few grills that go with it none perfect. The door jambs are solid and are painted the original color as is the inside of the doors. I do have a some other various trim and other pieces that go with the car. The trunk lip is solid as well. The rearend is a 12 bolt Chevy type like from a Chevelle. It is code KDC215 which translates best I have determined to be 2:73 open from a 69 Chevelle. Which is great because the gears and parts for these is way cheaper than the O type rearends and also said to be much more durable. I will give the buyer the choice of that rearend or a 70 3:23 type O open I have but not both. I will post many pictures here of the car. If you want more info email me direct or give me a call. West coast time 8 am to 8 pm not looking for any low ball offers or tire kickers please. I won't pull your leg or waste your time. Please do the same. Direct email is lemoldsnut@aol.com phone is 541-815-4363 Thanks Larry Price $6500

The hood in these pictures is no longer on it. I had a good hood without the aftermarket hood lock pin holes that is going with the car. I will post more pictures if wanted or just email me for direct pictures to you.

Here is a picture of the cowl tag. and the car with the hood it has now. It does come with a good pair of the "hockey Stick" hood moldings and has the correct FE code 3 core radiator.
