My wife would kick my A** if I brought that home! She would be like WTF again! It hurts to see it dead like that, even just to get it out and repurpose the parts and salvage the drive line. If I didn't have another project here I would think about it.

Oh man! Poor girl! I would love to see someone bring that back from the dead, but I know for sure it won't be me! It really makes you wonder what the story is with some cars...

Ron, those last 2 442s seem like more reasonably priced projects than the 73 mentioned by the OP. It's sad seeing cars return to the Earth alone in a field.

The subject car in Madison (Wisconsin) is a parts car. I tried to rescue the car/parts a couple months ago when it was listed, again. Obviously, that didn't happen.

Maybe I'll try again, if it's still available. If anyone is in that area who'd be willing to inspect the car for me, PM me please. I'd compensate you for your time.
