White '85 442 Restoration Project

White '85 442 Restoration Project
Rare white '85 442, blue interior, highly optioned: T-tops, fiber optics, remote passengers mirror, lighted visor, numbers matching everything VIN9 307/TH2004R/8.5 3.73
Engine and trans have no issues and ran when the car was last parked.
Body is rusty and beyond repair, I found another white '85 442 hard top roller with no title that is clean to do a body swap with.
Progress so far on the restoration the engine/trans, interior, doors and front clip have been temporarily swapped into the hard top body in preparation for the next steps I was envisioning outlined below:
Cut the T-top roof down to the cowl/floor seam and just below the roof welds, dispose of the remaining rusty shell.
Restore the t-top frame/8.5 rear.
Swap hard top body onto frame and graft t-top cowl/roof.
Restore drivetrain and transfer back onto t-top frame.
The rest is paint/interior/assembly from there.
First 2 photos are of the original t-top car, last 3 are of the body shell.
Car is very rare, not many made in white let alone highly optioned and still numbers matching.
You will need to plan on towing 2 cars.
Hard top body shell has no title.
Once again, this is a restoration project, nothing is ready to run or assembled.
