Not Mine.

Special ordered with an automatic?

Was it called Tahitian Yellow in '64?

This BS again. This car matches the description of a car that was for sale in WA a few years ago.

Is that overspray on the tires or mud? Nice presentation.

It's BAAAAACK...

Sold at BJ for $38K in 2011.

Discussed to death here about a year ago.

Not sold then at $80K-ish, so sure, offer it again for MORE money...

Oh, it's the yellow one. I thought it was the green "pilot car," (which I find hilarious both because that's an improper term, and because it's about as possible to legally title a non-vin vehicle as it is for a man to give birth.)

The asking price is $110,000.00 not $100,000.00 US

Sure, but once you leave this planet, it doesn't matter if you're on Mars or Pluto.

Thanks for the links Joe, I appreciate it. The old CO posts are a bit amusing.

I was close guessing the price.

If it was legit I don't think it would bring that or close to it, I wonder if the air cleaner is a knockoff. I am amazed at this asking price how dirty the tires are. I wonder when somebody will come up with the only 64 442 with a 394 in it.

Smile Some scares you because they are too cheap

You find extremes both ways. the car shown below has been listed on (OldCarsOnline) for over a week and had no takers, listed at $8200 and has only 41,000 miles. 1981 Starfire
Convertible with air, pictures look fabulous. He says the price is not a misprint, that reason for selling is a divorce settlement. It's 800 miles away,so no I haven't seen it in person! Larry

That has to be a scam. If it was only $8,000 I would walk 800 miles to get it. That is a very nice 61 Starfire. Do you have a link to it Larry?

That's the reason I have not pursued it further. If it sound s to good to be true ,it probably is. I couldn't resist E mailing him and asking if it was an error on the price, he said no it was $8200 and there was nothing on it that didn't work and true 41,000 miles. I cound buy a ticket and fly up there.,but I figured if you pulled $8200 out in cash ,you may never be Seen again. Just look it up on (OldCarOnline.com). Hey Glen, if you get it bought, You owe me a buyers fee and a promise that you won't brag about it on C.O. Larry

Larry:

I just sent the guy a message. I think there is about a 1% probability this is a real deal. If it is I will buy this car in a heartbeat. I have no business doing that but that car is easily with 3 times that. He is probably a con artist and stole the pictures. I asked for his contact info. I will let you know where this goes. That is a beautiful car. I really need three Oldsmobile convertibles.

He answered My email and said he would send more pictures,,but his email told only his name and no return email. He says the car is in Cheasapeak Virginia, but I could not Google anyone by the name he told me in the area. That car would be worth closer to $28,200 if it's like it looks, than $8200. If you buy it it won't be much out of your way,to just stopover in Tennessee and take me for a ride and pay me my finder fee .
I am sure that finders fees are legal, because the lady that cuts my hair charges me one each time I get a haircut. She swears that I have "Wavy Hair" ,and tells me that one of them stands up and waves at the other two. Oh well good luck on the car. Larry

Larry:

This one sure looks similar. It has Florida plates on it and the home in the background looks familiar.

Glen ,it's not the same car, because the seats are much brighter red in the Florida car.The first car's seats are two tone red ,as they should be .
The original interior should be more like the first one that we discussed ,
And like the one below. Glen,he also told me that he had the title in hand registered to him and without a Lein. It took 24hrs. or so ,to get a response from him ,because all transactions must go through OldCar Online. This is the same site that I used to sell my '55. Larry

Yes it's Tahitian yellow. If this unit is worth a $100K,what would my Best Of Class real deal 64 442 Convertible be worth?
