62 F85 Cutlass 2 door V-8 car
A dear friend has a 62 F85 Cutlass 2 door. It was her husband's project. He passed away a few months ago and so I am going to help her sell it. The original Aluminum v-8 and auto trans have been rebuilt. The has has never been wrecked. It had a little rust at the bottom of the quarters and back glass area and that has all been cut out and replaced. The car is not far from being a driver and not far from ready for paint.
I will do my best to get pictures posted on here. It is a great car for someone who wants a 62 that needs just the finishing touches to be a great car.
$4500

is/was it on craigslist? looks very familiar. i love these cars and am always looking but people seem to think they are worth more than they are, or ive just been lucky. i got a very nice 62, rebuilt engine/tranny, nice interior that only needed a carpet kit and a half dollar size worth of rust in the quarter and needed paint but came with it $2800 wish i kept that one. all my other ones i got for under $1000. im actually hunting for a 4 door but am about to settle for a 2 door, i dont mean to hurt the sale in anyway and this car appears to be a nice project that just needs finished.

Well Roger as you know there are smokin deals out there. I am glad for you that you were so fortunate to get unheard of deals. I can tell you stories about deals I have had. Just the convertible in my signature thread is one. My dad and I bought it and I drove it home for under $300 Yes a 442 convertible. But, that sure doesn't make them worth that low of a price now does it?
This car has had thousands of dollars of work done. The owner's husband worked on it often. It was his passion for some time. Then he died of cancer unexpectedly. I have taken on the task of helping her by selling it for her. For what is there and what has been done I believe the price is very fair.
Wish I could still buy the cars I did years ago for the prices I was paying. But all the money in the world can't buy time.
