Try Kanter Auto Parts WWW.kanter.com
They list a Master Cylinder for $125.00
and the kit is $25.00

Does anyone make a kit to swap the stock 56' style brake booster to a more modern style booster? I do no like the safety, or lack of safety that those years provide. I would like to add a dual res. to it for more safety.

brake conversion

I have pioneered a conversion for my '54. Originally a treadle vac (I think). I have mounted some pedals and a master cylinder to the firewall. The m/c & booster project out on a hefty 3"(?) dia bracket, and will hopefully clear the l/h rocker cover. It's not finished, so I can't vouch for it's effectiveness, but it has to be better than original?!
