66 Cutlass A/C deletion..problems

ugh...the obstacles are stacking up by the day..

My 66 cutlass body is coming back together, but i've discovered a problem.

the car is originally an AC car, but i wont be installing any othe the AC parts.

i've decided to block off the large opening in the firewall, and drill out the small opening to allow blower access.

the problem lies in the kick panel area..how exactly will i get this system plumbed?

if you cant answer this question but still want to help...please post pictures of your 66 cutlass with AC firewall and/or passenger kick panel

thaaaaaanks!

Take your A/C kick panels out and install regular kick panels...that gives you regular air from the cowl.. but you still need duct work for the defroster...

I removed the factory A/C system from my 67. I used a delete plate from AmericanGrafitti. I am in the process of installing Vintage A/C. Vintage Air (the owner) has my 67 control panel and he is trying to re-craft it so it will adopt to their Sure fit system. This is a totally new project for them and if a good friend of mine didn't know the ower real well they most likely would not mess it with since I am almost positive that the control panel is a 2 year 66-67 part which would be very low volume for Vinatge Air to re-work. The sytem will retofit the factory vents and defroster with half the weight and space that the old sytem used
