Heads
If it's just a G then it's a 1971. In 1972 they used the G with a small capitol A to the lower right of the G. John

Correct, though both the G and the GA heads used the same casting number (409100) and either casting could have come with big or small valves. Note also that capitol refers to a building and capital refers to the large letter.

thanks guys for the info. the reason i asked is because this dude in the paper said he had no clue what year it is or what kind of car it came out of. he said it's been there for at least 15 yrs. appreciate all the help, masonb
