455 Auto to Manual
I would to learn more about the 455 blocks that came with a manual transmission. A local fellow has a 76 455 in his 69 Cutlass. The motor came paired with an automatic transmission (obviously)
He has made me several offers for my 72 455 that also came with an auto trans. I asked him why he wanted my block instead and he said because he wants to put in a manual transmission. I think he's incorrect in his assumption that my block will accommodate his swap. Does anyone have pictures of a block that came with a manual transmission so I may show him the difference and what he should be looking for or having machined? ![]()

It isn't the block that is different.

Just as I suspected.
Thanks for the clarification.
