455 & 425 flex plate

Anybody happen to know if a buick 455 flex plate will line up with an oldsmobile 425?

I'm trying to install a TH400 and I'm having trouble finding a flex plate that will work. The flexplate out of my old motor does not line up

No it will not.
Try installing a TH350 converter using the 425 flexplate. The crank pattern is different on 425s(see tech section). Most stock flexplate only have one converter bolt pattern on them. Using a TH350 converter w/stock flex should mate the two.
May need more clarifying as to what doesn't line up.
Other option: ATI flexplate #915563.

You'll need a flex plate from either a 330, 425 or the 1965-67 400 engines to fit the bolt pattern on your crankshaft. I may have a used one and suspect others here would too. I'd encourage you to create a thread in the Parts Wanted section. John

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have an extra one. But the way my schedule is it (and how unorganized my garage is) it may be faster to find one from someone else than wait for me to locate one.

i totally understand, I somehow fit two GM B bodies in my 2 car garage for winter storage, they look like a pair of sardines in a can, but this has left my garage useless until spring
