403 Help!!

Whats up. I got a 1978 Delt 88 Royal, and my car takes like 15mins to warm up. and then after that the car will cut off as if is wasnt warm. sometimes when Im driving the car will like almost cut off like its not getting gas. I was told that i need to adjust my choke because it is cold now.. but i dont know how to so if anyone can help me out or has suggestions please repond. Thanks

It might be a choke setting but I would look into a complete tuneup first. Plug wires, plugs, timing, idle mixture and then finally choke setting. You might find that will really make a difference. That's the first thing I check on an old car that is "new" to me.

yeah thats what i thought but the auto shop that i take my car too said that it might be the choke settings and that if i bring it too him that he will show me how to fix it no charge i told him that i think it is the plugs but he seems to think other wise thanks for the info. though.

Yeah i know i love this car...im the second owner i got the car for 400 bucks it only had 92k on it and now it has 105k...but i fixed my issue thanks for the help it was my Distributor its was bad cost 104 to buy and 100 to put in from the shop i didnt think that was a bad price if i had the time i would have done it myself but i got a free engine check and a free towe to the shop.

I had the same problem with the Delta (307 motor) and it was the choke. I had to take it back because the choke plate kept getting stuck shut when warm and "choked" the car the other way.

With that, for the Delta weighing over 4000 lbs, it is pretty easy to push
