MSD box

Has anyone else had experience with a MSD Digital 6 box that seems to make spark only when the spirits move it?

Mine works great, having you tried contacting MSD for trouble shooting?

I had one in my camaro for like 10 years. Worked like a charm. Mine in the Olds, seems to only make spark when it wants to. Every thursday night, we have guy night/car night. I mentioned my problem and 2 of the guys said it's the box. 1 guy sent his back 3 times before it was right. The other just switched to a 6AL. I've been corresponding with the MSD Tech line for a week or so. He just tells me it's a bad connection or to send it in. The car has run for less than 10 minutes with this ignition system. I can start the thing and it starts fine. I drive it outside and it's cool. Later I go to start it and there's no spark. The next day, it starts fine with nothing changed. This has happened 3 times. I've got no glass or interior in it so I'm not gonna go anywhere in it but I did drive it around the block to make sure everything else in the driveline works. I am not sure what to do.

Sounds like you'll have to send or take it back to where you purchased it and they can do an exchange for you

I thought that the fancy schmancy electronics stuff would either work or not. I'm not sure what the heck is going on . I don't want to have to send the dang thing back and spend more money on it.I guess I'm in denial about it. Guess I will gut the thing out and send it back. Maybe it wlii be back in time for spring. :-(

I don't know. It's all new and looks right. It ran great on the dyno. I used to live right off 38th and Peoria about 30 years ago. I hear the neighborhood has gone a bit downhill
