Comp Cams Magnum Rocker Arm 1442-KIT

Comp Cams 455ci Olds Magnum 1.6 Magnum Rocker Arm & Pushrod Kit #1442-KIT - Anyone use this kit? I need an upgrade to my stock valve train rebuild but needs to fit under stock notched valve covers. Mostly for weekend cruiser & doing burnouts.

I have them on my 350 with Mr Gasket poly locks instead of the crappy stamped nuts that come with the kit. I used the thicker rubber valve cover gaskets and don't have any clearance issues.

Oh yeah, I have different push rods as well as the ones that come in the kit for the350 were the wrong length.

Pushrods are weak and may not be the right length. Pinch nuts are a PITA. But, it's a quick and relatively cheap way to get an adjustable valvetrain that is fine for near-stock springs.
If you get the short (1") polylocks then they'll fit under stock valve covers easily. Might need a ticker or double gaskets.

You could use Ford Motorsport pedestal roller rockers.... They bolt right into the 5/16 holes and fit under a stock valve cover. I was able to use a stock length pushrod on mine, too.

I used that kit on my 455. I also used the pushrods provided in the kit. It's great!

have been using that kit since 2004. zero issues 10k miles 200 + 1/4 mile runs at 12.30-12.70 at 110 with the odd hit of nos. cam is 231 239 dur 517 and 541 lift. 1442 kit seems to be ok so far.
