hey guys,

do you think i might have a problem?

To me it looks like oil mist coming from the fill tube. No stains on air filter housing or intake...only on the radiator hose.

PCV system is all stock and new. Stock BB valve covers but i massaged the baffles to fit the roller rockers...maybe i punched them a little bit too far?

Are you running a fan clutch? When they go bad I had one get oil on the front area of the motor.
Did you see the mist coming out of the tube or just think it came from there?
Does it smell like antifreeze?

Your oil filler and cap look dry - are you sure that oil is not coming from somewhere else?

Could it be from your A/C compressor?

Does the oil cap fit tightly? That is a strange spot for oil to collect.

took a closer look today and found the entire hose covered in that stuff...some yellowish gunk.

i almost sh*t my pants because of possible ring failure but then i remembered that i've put some of that "make your rubber shine"-silicone-stuff on the radiator hose -.-

its has gotten pretty cold the last few days so thats some mixture of that silicone stuff..moisture...and maybe some fumes/chemicals from chinese rubber hose

Good to hear it's not a blown head gasket. That would suck!

You ever build a engine or worked on one. That was no symptom of a blowed head gasket.

Yes, when I was a teenager my father and I went to see a 60s Ford Thunderbird. I recall it had dual quad carburetors, leather interior and rear suicide doors (like all 4 door Thunderbirds). The problem was the car ran lousy and spit out sweet, white smoke (i.e. a blown head gasket). My dad caught it and instead I ended up buying my 64 Oldsmobile with the POS Slim Jim Rotohydramatic transmission. If I knew then what I knew now I could have replaced those head gaskets in a weekend. Then instead of posting here I would be posting on a Ford forum.
