Fuel pump advice

I was on here a few weeks ago and read a thread stating that I could use a Buick v6 fuel pump on my 394, loosing only wiped functions. I looked at both pumps side by side and the Buick has a shorter pump arm. Does this really work?

Boy, I have never heard of that, stranger things have happened but I would be surprised if it worked. Is there a reason you can't use a pump designed for that engine or a universal electric?.... Tedd

Just something I saw on a thread. I'm waiting for the rebuild kit to come for the original.

That is the first time I ever heard of that. I can't imagine it would work.
