Rebuilding a 4 sp 455 engine

I just discovered a blown head gasket and the engine had been running tired anyways so i am looking to have the engine rebuilt but wanted to see about the best way to go about it. Is's a 68 455 for 4 speed transmission with the original W-30 forced air induction set up. Exhaust is stock from "Garner Exhaust" Quadrojet as been rebuilt. Running original exhaust manifolds but thinking of upgrading to the 69 to 72 type which flow a little better. I also wanted to see if an Edelbrock Torker 455 # 2730 would clear the hood as with the correct set up my mid range should would improve. As anybody had dealings with "Precision Engine Rebuilding" of of Texas?? That are so many things to keep in consideration that it is almost over whelming. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't use any shop without a reference and from a reliable source. There is a resident builder on this forum cutlassefi. He is closer than Texas.

Thank you Neely.

My first question would be where are they getting a "New" 455 crank.
Eagle is out and I don't think anyone else has any stock.

If you're interested let me know. Happy to help any way I can.

Thanks.
Mark
