Headlights for 2001 Aurora
can some one tell me how to replace the bulbs in the lights? I cannot find a DIY book for this model and I am NOT going to the dealer. Do I have to remove the entire light to do it? if so How?

I would guess that the socket twists out of the back of the light housing itself. Then you can remove and replace the lamp. If your local auto parts store has someone knowledgeable and willing to help they might even help yo r/r the lamp if you buy one.

Yes, you need to remove the entire lamp assembly to replace the bulbs. Here's what the manual says:
1. Remove headlamp fasteners securing the headlamp to the vehicle. 2. Using a pry bar, carefully pry in the center area of the headlamp. 3. Pry the headlamp assembly straight forward in order to unsnap the headlamp ball stud from its ball stud socket. 4. Slide the headlamp straight forward and disconnect the headlamp connector from the forward lamp wiring harness. 5. Remove the headlamp from the vehicle. 6. Position the headlamp to the vehicle and connect the electrical connector. 7. Press the headlamp rearward in order to engage the ball stud into the ball stud socket. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems. 8. Install the headlamp fasteners. Tighten the headlamp mounting fasteners to 6 N·m (53 lb in). 9. Aim the headlamps. "Carefully pry" the center of a $300 headlamp? Not me. Paul
