Hot rod Aurora?

Anybody hot rodding the Aurora V8? After seeing that 30's Olds rod with the Aurora in it that sold out of the GM collection, I started wondering about that engine. Easy or hard to work with? What kind of HP/Torque numbers have people come up with?
I don't have a specific project in mind, just thinking about what might be fun to get into ina couple years...

I always thought it would be cool to get an Aurora and put an Olds 350 in it. Of course the Aurora V8 is pretty boss too. I thought they were slick cars in the late 90s.

I think there was a thread or maybe two about that Aurora engine where Joe gave some good information on it but I could be wrong.

I heard a rumor, ten year ago or more, that Olds had some supercharged Auroras. Should of been a atandard unit in ALL production Auroras.
Those Northsatrs motros had cross bolted 4 - bolt mains.

There was never a production supercharger for the Aurora. The Aurora and Northstar are the same basic engine, Aurora just has a smaller bore (87mm vs 93mm. Both use the same 84mm stroke. The Northstar, of course, now has a supercharged version in the RWD cars, but that version has almost no parts in common with the FWD motors.

Did Shelby ever supercharge any of the series 1 cars? Seems like I read that somewhere, but in the grand total of 2 of those cars I've seen in person, I haven't actually seen it to be true.
