Hey guys. Just my two cents. I have worked in the steel business for 20 years. I also live in a city affectionately called Steeltown. The first coversion states 1/4" cold rolled steel. The same type of steel you car body is made from, only thicker. Soft steel. The second doesn't specify steel gauge, but does mention welding. Hopefully, this means hot rolled steel. The same stuff your car frame is made of. Hard steel. If you want to inquire, ask what type of steel it's made from. In my opinion, cold rolled steel is best left on the outside of the car.
