From what I've read that's possible. You can build up a 350 and it will match a 455 in HP, and weight less

I moved your thread to the small block forum. There is a re-direct for one week.

I am wondering why you would try to achieve so much horse power out of a 350? If you are willing to spend the money to achieve this which I belive is impossible if it is a normal asperated motor you are better off with at 455ci motor which will be more streetable and reliable.

I agree with Soo. Dollar per HP is going to be much higher putting mods on a 350, Not to mention you'll have to run much higher RPM with the 350 to wring out the horses...which means that you run a greater risk of breaking something.

455s are relatively easy to come by now through the net. Pick one up, slap on some new heads, intake, carb, cam, and headers and you'll get your 525.

oh it's possible...just a matter of how much

you want to throw at it.
And you'd better start off with a D or DX block and a ton of cash.

Uh oh.

Hopefully you realize that small block build would probably cost you 9 grand.

Instead of tossing up a number, like "525 HP", tell us what you want to do with it. ET, street strip or race only, etc.
