You must have very small hands and be a contortionist. Actually, I think if you remove the inner fender well you can reach up and access the bottom of the antenna assembly. If you have plastic inner fenders it is easy, just remove the nuts on the perimeter of the fender lip and bend it out of the way so you can reach up with your arm. Then it is a simple act of backing the nut off on the top and dropping the assembly down, the coaxial to the radio runs through a hole in the body, I think forward of the door seal area, there may or may not be a rubber gromet there, if you disconnect the coax, tape a line to the end so you can pull the replacement coax back through, unless you are removing the antenna for good.
