Buying advice for for n00b seeking Hurst Olds...
Hi Fellas,
I am considering the purchase of a 83/84 Hurst Olds perhaps sometime this coming year. I am just starting to gather information so please forgive my lack of any specific details regarding these cars.
I am hoping to get a an original (never crashed or painted) lower mileage car.
I was at first considering an 87 442 but also like the Hurst Olds and from what I read, it's a fair bit more rare.
What might I look for in one of these vehicles beyond the straight forward rust and mechanical issue? I would do/have done a compression test and visually inspect the underside while car was on a lift. I know the rear quarters tend to get rusted also, so I will be extra careful to look into those areas from the trunk.
Any info or sites I can gain further knowledge about these cars would be helpful also!
Thanks so much in advance.
Mike
