I have the 268H in my 71 Delts 455. I installed it "straight" up, I have a Cloyes timing chain. I put new valve springs, have at least 100 Lbs seat pressure. Idles nice, pulls good to over 5000. I never went pass that, usually go to 4800 rpm's. The engine is lo-comp, Edelbrock Performer, 670 CFM Holley, Crane modual exliminating the points. I have tube headers, with torque tube, 2 1/4" dual exhaust. Small Sat-nite converter, 2:76 gear. It "soots" pretty good. I though about changing the gears but it is a road car but it has some pep. I use Rotella in all my vehicles. The 70 Toro engine is as good as a 455 gets from the factory. I like the Toro oil Pan AND system, AKA 2 trays. Good Luck, Ken
