Thanks for the heads up, but I finally was able to find a decent shop that is reasonable and will work on older cars. The owner wants a bunch of trim work done at his house so it should be a win-win situation, the less cash that changes hands the better.
I had the car more or less sold a few weeks back because of some unexpected major medical expenses my insurance didn't cover totally, but I just couldn't go through with it. I've been through a lot worse and will handle it, I need the cars to maintain my mental health.
