Welcome to the site! I hope you can connect with many members working on this vintage of car. Would you post your general location, city/state/province or country That will make it easier for members to consider shipping costs for parts. John

262 is a new northeastern Illinois area code, including Chicago - probably a 50 mile radius!

Any chance you might have a complete tri-power setup w/linkage, and correct original air cleaner? If so, how much?
Reply with a PM to "stetzie"
Thanks

Hay Joe. It’s David McCord AKA oldave55. Have you forgotten me? Remember, you contacted me r/e my WTB thread in Classic Olds. You claimed to have, and we agreed on a price of $415.00 for a ’55 Olds fan shroud and the under dash plastic factory air ducts, with shipping. I sent you a bank check for the $415.00 on May 16, 2012, which you promptly cashed. I am still waiting for delivery of the parts. Or at least some response to my several voice mails. It has been over four months now. How about you producing the parts that you claimed to have or at the very least providing a full refund? Otherwise, I advise any others to proceed with caution.

Nga and any others: no! Not any reply to my
Email or to voice mail. I advise extreme caution if you are considering any dealings.

Sorry to hear you got burned. I hate the paypal fees but they do provide a measure of security. Since he lives in the US and you sent payment through the mail you might be able to sic the Post Office on him for fraud. I'm not an expert, but other members have discussed ideas about how to deal with something like this. If you have time to play with the search option you might be able to find some old threads that might help.

Good Luck with your situation!

John

Frauds on classic items

I was being taken by a guy in the hamster. Four months waiting.I called the police in a small town in Wisconsin and the officer was so nice he continued to follow up and chase the guy around until he gave him a ticket for theft/fraud. The next day the guy called like he was my relative offering the money or the bumper ends I had sent a cashier check for $300.00 for and he cashed the next day. He called in a rush to resolve the issue.

If you contact the police in the seller's town and you have documentation of the actions taken and the dates it may work out for you.

Good luck,

Israel

Is that Boldts55 rat still scamming olds guys? He riped me off for over $400.00. See above posts. My advise is never under any circumstances, repeat NEVER, deal with this piece of Sh#% His kind gives the whole car hobby a bad rap. I must also say that this is the only problem I have had (not counting a few over optimistic condition descriptions) in dealing through Olds Club America, classic olds and ebay.

Do you happen to have a windshield for a 1957 Olds Ninety Eight 4 door sedan?
