1967 F-85 330 cam and hop up HELP Please

Hi guys, I'm thinking about hopping up my 67 cutlass/f-85 330. To start off its a stock 330 2bbl with A/C, pw, ps, pb and a 2 speed auto behind it. I had a valve job done on it about 2 years ago and the cylinders are all good now. The speedo has just turned over 100,000 miles so I'm thinking the bottom end is likely got that amount on it too (unless somewhere along the trail it was redone). Here is my plan......I'm going to change the cam, lifters, chain & gears, intake and carb, and headers. I was told by Edelbrock the following (see below) was a good set-up to go with. I'm also planning to change the 2-speed to a turbo 400 with a 2500 stall & shift kit and a 3:73 rear end gear.

:RPM series

# 7111 RPM manifold

# 7112 RPM cam kit

# 5712 valve spring kits

# 1813 800 cfm AVS carburetor

# 7813 timing set

This setup will require a 2500 rpm stall converter and 3.73 gear set to work properly.

I've had the car for about 6 years (got it in Tucson Arizona) and it is rust free and super solid. All I have done with it is add 15" ss cragers 60 & 70 series tires, dual exhaust, ghost flames, and a valve job. It looks good and turns heads, now I just want it to be more fun to drive. I'm not into racing it, just cruise nights and out to the local burger joint kind of thing. I want it to sound nice & lumpy and be able to smoke up those 60's if the need be

Any advice from anyone would be great. Am I doing the right thing or am I off side? I was also thinking about changing out the timing chain for the all gear set-up to give it that whine sound?

Thanks for reading.

Paul
