plain cars
sorry i am still new and not trying to upset any one. i have been noticing a trend here with almost every 66 and 67 442 most everyone has a mono tone paint job and no stripes even looking up cars on google they all look just plain and the few i did find look like badass ( im going to mop the floor with you ) is there really any reason or just personal preference that not many do it.
i just got my first 442 its a 67 and its a grey tone and i'm going to put some vinyl racing stripes so far i cant find many pics with any one doing this to those years. if any of you have custom jobs i'd love to get some more ideals. its not like vinyl is going to mess up my ride it can be pealed right off any time. your input will be greatly appreciated thanks.

I doubt you're gonna upset someone, but I think the "trend" has been going for awhile.
You either find mags or poverty caps, but no wheelcovers.
And you get people who restore them to stock, or create perfumed pigs.
Part of the problem, from my POV, is that few people are creative enough to design stripes or what-not that actually go with a respective car.
Stripes can be cool, but I think for a car that was designed without stripes, it's much easier to successfully create a nice paint scheme....except for the fact that a paint scheme is much more difficult than having vinyl stripes. If you are a graphics designer, then perhaps it will come naturally, but to my eyes there's a lot of crap out there. However, it's what you like, not me, that counts.

These cars never had factory racing stripes. Pin stripes are cool. Its your ride and the only person who needs to be happy is you, cept when you go to sell. Racing stripes do not make a car go faster.
