The 442 is the same they are 2 different sizes. At least you can't get them mixed up specially if the dome light dont work.

Yes , that's why I leave the buckle for the shoulder strap tucked into the seat so I don't get them mixed up

Um yeah, I was aware of that.

FYI, I didn't really think he was crazy; I was trying to be funny.

Would it be funny if he tripped and fell with those scissors and put his eye out?

Huh? Would that be funny?

NEVER RUN WITH SCISSORS.

And DON'T eat the PlayDoh. It may say "Non-Toxic," but it's still not good for you.

Ha ha. I've got a whole can of genuine Sherwin-Williams lead at home. Comes in a little paint can.

I'm glad you are finding humor with all this . Remember the guys here are generally VERY helpful and kind . I guess the thread went a little south but I think most of these responses are here to help Do WHATEVER makes you and your family feel safe , there's nothing wrong with that .

I'd say, If you DO feel completely safe... Go and get your head examined,

because people die every day taking a shower, walking down the sidewalk, working out at the gym, shopping at the supermarket, etc.

Heck, people have been killed while sitting on the couch watching TV, when airplanes or cars crashed through their houses.

Nothing and nobody is completely safe, anything can happen at any time, and we all gotta go sometime, so safety is all a matter of degree.

Thanks! You are right about the thread going south too! Oh well...I can try to fit in as the new guy here, but some I would never even care about impressing. I've seen those types more than a few times. Their opinion is the ONLY opinion and until everyone believes it then they aren't going to quit.

I'll concede - there IS no right or wrong on this issue. It is truly a personal decision. Kind of a helmet vs no helmet thing. However, those who feel offended continue an attempt to justify with "concrete" evidence as to why they shouldn't feel offended. It's comical really.

And I do know for sure that most people around here are very nice and out to help others. I am a very humble person, but would generally put myself in that category also, if I am allowed. Most site admins/mods/any non-newbie to online forum member knows that post count doesn't equate to people knowing it all, just means they talk a lot (and could POSSIBLY know it all.) And that's how I'm viewing some of what is going on here.

At any rate, everyone do what they feel they are safe (or unsafe) with. I don't really care. Want to wear a belt, great! Don't want to? Fine. Want to wear 5 at a time? Wonderful!!! Want to wear your belt only when going above 100? Your choice completely. Live however you feel you are living.

I had this argument with some anti belt wearers and anti helmet bikers several times.
Don't want to buckle up/put your lid on?. Fine, but you pick up the tab if it all goes wrong. I'd sooner pick up the hospital bill for after care for someone who was belted up than one who wasn't. If there was a bill and I wasn't referred to the undertaker instead of course....

This is at least the second post you made that seems to say that you believe that there is something going on in this thread that is either hostile or unpleasant in some way.

I am a bit confused by this, as it appears to me that all participants have been extremely civilized (especially by internet standards) in communicating their various opinions to one another. Even here on ClassicOlds, an unusually polite forum, we have had far more vituperative disagreements in the past (disposal of used antifreeze, anyone?). Frankly, I've hardly even seen much disagreement in this discussion.

So I will reiterate a post I made earlier:
