Damn fine '69!

Boy this is nice. Really like the combo of the paint color, inside color and the dog dish wheels. Then again, I like pretty much anything with the dog dish wheels.

very nice

Very nice,

I love 69

I hate to pick such a nice car apart, but that's not and N-34 steering wheel on it now. [as the window sticker states]

Wheel discs are also missing. Replaced with hubcaps.

" 4- 4 -2 plate clutch"????

That's a new one fer dis dumbo

But it is obviously a very nice 69 [like most 69's]

I fail to see the reason to embelish w/ bad facts

p.s. Joe

It would appear [if this info is correct] the bench seat credit is $68.46 [I remember it being discussed in another thread]

What are wheel discs? The full-sized hubcaps?

Well if we are going to nitpick, fifty more bucks would have bought the correct shifter boot.
Now I feel bad, sure is a nice ride.

Yes, though of course that is a reprinted repro window sticker. I missed where it talked about the clutch. Of course, the 1971 W-30s had an optional W-37 dual plate clutch.

Now, the car is beautiful... but.....

Why do you go through all the trouble to do a chalk-mark resto, then put a Flowmaster exhaust on it? The chalk marks are only there to earn points in OCA judging, but the exhaust will get you thrown out.

Why do you put an aftermarket steering wheel on the car and then install the horn button with the (80s vintage) rocket logo upside down? Considering that asking price on this car must be WELL into the mid-five figure range, that's a pretty obvious oversight. (Rule of thumb - asking price is proportional to the number of photos in the ad)

The VIN derivative stamp on the frame is beautiful. A little TOO beautiful, if you catch my drift.

And finally, once again, rarity doesn't necessarily equal desirability. Post coupes with bench seat and four speeds are rare because no one wanted them when they were new.

Oh, one last question. Why do people feel the need to fuzz out the license plate in their ads? Can't you read the plate (and the VIN for that matter) when the car is parked on the street?

I am to cheap to buy a car that is in the range this car will go for. On the other hand I can build a car that will sell for as much as this one will sell for and it will cost me half as much, and the building will be more fun plus I will drive it which most collector won't do

Missing heat tube and exhaust manifold shield on pass. side to air cleaner. The steering wheel and emblem upside down is really funny. Amatuer attempt at trying to collect big bucks. Overall though the car looks sharp. Lastly I would have thought he could have sprung for a set of redlines to really set the car off. Oh well....some unknowing person with some bucks just might pony up.

I don't know where you got your info, but the car came with a full street legal exhaust system from the factory.

Wheel covers (disks) attach to the rim, and cover the wheel.

Hubcaps (as used above) attach to the wheel, and only cover the hub.

That is really an attractive car and done up very nicely but it just shows to what lengths people will go to "make something up". Of course, they wouldn't do it if there wasn't money to be made and some sucker to pay the asking price (or close to it). In the end someone with enough money will buy it and be happy with it. Well, at least until he finds out about the upside down horn button.
