67 442

How do you verify that a 67 442 is really a 442? What is the difference between a 442 and a Cutlass for 67?

Another way is to remove the inner rear passenger courtesy lamps. The Cutlass models had a decorative emblem on the outside of the car. There will be a spot (Hole or filler) that you can see when the light is removed. If there is hole/filler it is/was a Cutlass. The 442 did NOT have this emblem, so no hole.

A 442 has two fuel lines factory but so does a turnpike cruiser. Either way factory 400 E block both would have two fuel lines. A 330 car would not. If the car was built in Lansing it would have the 5V code on the cowl tag if Fremont then no 5V and harder to tell.

67s were also built in Framingham.

Also boxed rear lower rear control arms, but they could be added. Anti sway bars?

67 Cutlass Supreme cars had on the C pillar the C/S emblem. this was not there on 442 cars. If you suspect a car is a clone take the inside dome light lens off and the two screws that hold it in place and look inside the C pillar. You can see if the holes from that emblem have been filled. If they have been filled it could be a clone and not a real 442.
