Just found 1966 442 but have a question

Well I found a 1966 442 in great condition although I haven't seen it yet. It was originally a 4-speed but has the Turbo 400 trans installed and a 455 with tri-power. The clutch linkage is still intact. The weird thing is that the front clip is a 1967 442 hood and all. Not sure how he has the fender trim setup yet as I have not seen the car or pics yet. It was restored in the 90's and since then has about 2500 miles on it. Question is how hard would it be to trade or find another 1966 front clip? Has anyone ever seen this mismatch before with photos?

The 66-67 front ends interchange. This car has been in a front end collision and the repair used 67 parts, probably because that's what was available. The tripower alone is worth $3k or so if it is complete. The fact that the front end and engine are different means the car has been monkeyed with, so look at everything. Especially look for evidence of frame damage from the collision.

Please tell me the shipping is not "all taken care of" and you paid by Western Union.

The car was an abortion. I passed on it. Back to the searching game.
