67 convertible rear window replacement

Has anyone ever had to do this before? The top is in amazing shape, but the rear window is cracked and separated from the canvas, I am just curious on what kind of costs I might run into to have this done. I am thinking about buying a 67 442 convertible and wondering what to offer the guy

To correctly replace the back window assembly you should be taking the top off to get it on correctly. The problem also is that there maybe different manufacturers of the top you have and a replacement could not fit if just a little different. The odds are best that you should replace the top. They are a few hundred dollars and it can be done at home with some attention to detail. I did mine and it came out great.

Dang, was really hoping to not hear that, the top really is in too good of shape just to get rid of. Honestly though I think you are right if I bought a new window, it would cost alot more than a new top just to get it installed professionally, I will have to look into it farther tonight when.uk get home

Rear curtain replacement cost me $250 last time I had to have one replaced, about 5 years ago on a 66 98 convertible. The entire back of the top must come loose. The curtain is a part which stands alone, manufacturer has no bearing on replacement, style may matter but probably not.

Good luck,
