442 air filter plate

Has anyone purchased a reproduction of one (it's the sliver plate that goes on top of the air filter cover--says 442 if you have the 350HP engine, etc)?

I'm just curious as there's one on eBay for $12, and yet, Fusicks is charging $32.50 for theirs. I'm wondering if there's a difference, cause $20 difference is quite a bit for this part.

I obviously want the more "correct" repro.

(I think I've got it--one is actually a decal--a sticker, where the other is actually the aluminum plate, hence the difference.)

Tom,

I just got this and the paint from Fusicks. It's not the decal and it was perfect. If you get this your going to want to get the air filter plate retainer as well. I have had very good luck with the stuff that I got from them. Took no longer then one day to get to me by fedex. It is well worth the extra $20 knowing that your going to get good quality stuff. Fusicks is the first place that I will look for part for now on. Hope this could help. Also the paint was a dead match.

Dan

Nice. That's good to hear, as I too just ordered the paint, retainer ring, and filter plate. I have to say, my experience with Fusicks thus far has been really good, even if stuff is a little more expensive.
