1966 Fisher body cowl tag:


07B is date code, 7= July, B= 2nd week (one digit to many here).
STyle code 66=1966
3=olds division
38=Cutlass V8
17- Body type, 17 is Holiday Coupe
LAN=Lansing Mich assembly Plant
30153= Number assigned to this unit by scheduling dept.
TRim code 980=all black vinyl
B= strato bucket seats
Paint L= Lower body color, L was Tropic Turquoise
W=Upper body color, W was Silver Mist


Columns 1 thru 5 were option codes that required body modification.


Column 1 was not designated with a 1, just the letter(s).
E=option A01, all tinted windows & w/s
Column 2
K=C60 Air Cond firewall piercing
X=hole in floor for auto trans shifter M32 or M33
G=brackets welded to floor for console D55
No option codes for columns 3 or 4
Column 5
V=Body & front fenders pierced for 442 option L69/L78
Y= Deluxe front & rear seat belts A-39


NOTE. If this was a two tone paint car from the factory, Column 1 should have an "O" along with the "E". O would designate piercing for the paint break molding.

what is color code c-4 on cowl tag 1966 cutlass convertible ?

C-4 is: Provincial White with a blue top.

My first 66 Cutlass vert in 66 came with a light blue top. Picture on delivery day.
