manual shifter
What is the proper shifter for a 4 speed in a '68 442? It's a Hurst, correct?
If so, my question is, what type of knob originally came with it? Currently, mine has the "T" style shifter grip. Doesn't seem like that was stock. Then again, I'm just getting into Olds' so, I'm not sure. |

The factory used the Hurst competition plus shifter with the handle stamped 442. The knob should be a ball either white or black....plain ball for console cars while I believe the non-console cars had the H-shift pattern stamped atop the ball.
