Just got my '68 442

No, this car has never been in a show (yet at least, soon to change). It was my friend's daily driver for a few years, then in about 1973 he bought a beater VW Beetle for his daily driver, and only drove the Olds occasionally. It only has 94k on it, and the Olds dealer in KC talked him into overhauling the engine at 74k miles. He told me he last drove it in 1985, and quit driving it because it was making what he thought was a ticking lifter sound. I finally got it running 2 weeks ago, and didn't hear any sounds at all, except that of a good strong engine. So now I get to do the brakes (has none, and I mean none), belts, hoses, fluid changes, etc. It'll be a labor of love. Sometimes I go next door to the building it's in and just stare at it and remember all the great times my friend and I had chasing girls and just cruising.
