1968 w 30 442 red front wheel wells

Hi fellow Olds enthusiasts.
I was wondering if anyone could help. I have a 1968 W 30 442. As you know, it has red plastic front wheel wells. I have been trying to find a way to clean them without success. Does anyone have a solution or suggestions. Thank you in advance.

what is it that is on them? i have removed paint from them with lacquer thinner and it took most everything else off at the same time. they looked good after i was done but not sure if that is the right thing to use on big $$$ red inner fenders. mine were red and it didn't hurt or discolor them but i still can't say it is the right thing to use.
