Has anyone raised their Olds 442? I know some guys like them lowered, but I don't. I like them raised a little. About 2 inches. Has anyone here done this and waht springs did you use? Pictures????

Many years ago I installed a set of springs that were suppose to lower the car about an inch. Since the springs I was replacing were shot it ended up raising it! So I would first ask the question could it be that your springs are just sagging and if you went with a fresh set of factory springs that it might look right for you? John

I raked my delta up in the rear a few inches with 75 Fleetwood springs.
It looks awesome and old school on the street, but I'll probably have to swap them back out when I go to the drag strip. I don't see them helping weight transfer to the rear axle very much.

Yes but the weight that is transferred will push down with more force ...

As long as they are already loaded do a couple baseline runs with them on ...

Now that's what I'm talking about. That black 442 sits perfectly. A little higher than I want, but it looks great. I want mine to be level, but just a little higher than stock.

Well, I installed a set of stock replacement hd springs in the rear, Moog #5409. It did the job I was looking for. Raied the rear about 2 inches. I guess the old springs were just weak. Now the fronts, although now that the rear is level, I might leave the fronts alone.

I went a little overboard, but Now I can run 30x9" slicks and more gear if I want. Instead of my usual 27x8's
