Curious, was there a '73 442 ?
I had some '70 -'72 cars afterwards, but 1st had a Black '73 Cutlass, Wife was driving it. Didn't think about 442s then. Later on, I would see the HOs and '75 442s etc. Any photos here of a nice '73 442? A single year body style I always liked......

There were just over 10,000 W-29 optioned cars built in 1973.
Here is mine. Purchased from original owner in The spring of 2015.

Ouch my eyes
Stripes on this green CL are way wrong and ugly.
See my black car for correct stripes.

Thanks! The Supreme did not have the "fastback", so a bit surprised at this photo! The Grill is different. Nice looking car! Man, it's funny how you start to get back into things. Now I'll be on the look out...... I wonder if it's old enough to avoid smog here. When I got to CA years ago, I had a buddy who bought a Diesel cutlass, titled as a diesel - no smog required, ('75? Brougham). Then he put a 455 in it, big mufflers, and had a real sleeper. It was ugly though, and he just got a kick out of surprising kids.

The 68-72 had the "S" fastback model and "Supreme" model, the 73-77 are considered the Colonnade body style.

Here is a car I know of that is probably still for sale, in case you're interested. It's a fully restored car. It has the rare Vista Vent sunroof option. If you want more info, send me a PM and I'll send you the owner's contact info.

Wow, very nice. Out of all the '73 Colonnade cars, the Oldsmobile Supreme and "S" models were the best styled and proportioned.

The 73 442 was available with 350 engine with automatic or 4 speed transmission, or 455 engine with automatic or 4 speed transmission. Any 73 Cutlass or 442 4 speed is extremely rare.

With all of the cars and vans back then getting aftermarket roof vents since many vehicles did have A/C, Oldsmobile probably wanted to offer it instead of buyers going to local shops to get the roof cut. Not sure though if it was only offered in 1973, as I do not recall seeing one in a '74 model, on a '73 4-door. Maybe it was continued for the Vista Cruiser model after 1973.

Gary is that a 350 or 455 car?

Grilles kind of mimic the style of the 70 442. One of the nice features on these cars is the hood, which might not be that clear in the pics posted.

The grilles are specific to the 442s and the H/Os.
Here is a better shot of the hood louvers from a 73 442, although the hood was used for 74 and 75 also.
