W30, Track Pack Air Cleaner Info

Talking 1967 specifically, what differentiates a W-30 car from a Track Pack car? Did they both get the Outside Air Induction air cleaner setup? Is it something to do with factory installed vs dealer installed?

Speaking of the air cleaner, how do you identify an original vs a reproduction, and what kind of value do the originals bring?

Thanks, Jaylan

In the 980s Curt Anderson and Don Henrichs coined the term Track Pack to describe cars which had the Induction Package 230309 added to them after the factory build. Factory builds are generally more valuable, with verification being a tedious process because there is no factory paperwork available from a central source.

----There is an original for sale on this sight for 3850.00 (I think). He might be flexible, but I can tell you that original air-cleaners are super hard to find. Good luck!......Bill S

The 67 w30 had red plastic inner front fender wells, chrome valve covers and oil fill cap. The Track Pack cars were owner or dealer converted and did not get the chrome or red wells. The OAI was part of the kit and a person would have to cut the rad support for the OAi bezels. The factory cars had a nicely punched rad support. To my knowledge there were NO reproduced 67 OAI shrouds in metal. Fiberglass ones were reproduced closely but not exactly to originals. Original 67 W30 shrouds were not numbered like the 66 ones.
