Question 1969 Olds 442

First - I can't figure out how to easily remove the stock clock in my 69 Cutlass 442. Anyone have tips how to get the clock out?

Two - I am looking for the stock map light. Anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks, for your help!

Taking out the clock is somewhat of a challenge, although it can be done. You have to remove two screws on the backside of the clock pod, behind the dash. I've attached a picture of the tic-toc-tac in my '68 and it is attached the same way as your clock, only you won't see the brown wire (you should still see the orange wire (12V power to your clock) and a grey wire (power to the dash lights in your clock)). The two screws are at the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions. You can see the hex head of the screw at the 4 o'clock position in the picture. It's no easy task getting in there but, with a little time and patience, you will be able to remove those two screws. Then you should be able to slightly twist and remove the clock assembly out through the front of the dash.

I would look at "Parts for Sale" in this forum for your map light, as well as advertise in the "Parts Wanted" section.
